Born
in Addis Ababa, Shoan caught fire becoming a follower of Christ at age
17. Graduating from Grace Bible College,
he served as an evangelist, heading up the national Scripture Union, creating
Bible Study Groups throughout Southern Ethiopia. Obtaining a scholarship, Shoan came to
America where he obtained a B.A. at Biola College, and M.Div at Talbot
Seminary, while founding a church of Ethiopia Believers in L.A. He returned to Kenya to do a radio ministry in
Amharic to reach Ethiopia, while learning Swahili to win disciples also in
Kenya. Today he and his wife Negest are a uniquely equipped team to
make a positive impact for Jesus Christ. They have vital contacts in the entire
region to bring depth, unity, and encouragement to Christian Churches during a
time of intense challenges.
